How can I fix my speaker?

I have an Altec Lansing iMT520. I bought it on June 20, 2011 from Woot.com. I have been using it with my iPhone. I have an iPhone 4, which is apparently not compatible with the dock on the front of the device. I therefore have been using an auxiliary cable to use the iMT520 with my iPhone. It has worked great until today, when I accidentally dropped the speaker from waist height.

The speaker has stopped playing one channel of stereo (I'm not sure whether it's the left or the right) from the aux input in the back. I have verified that the speaker is the problem---the same phone and cable work when connected to other speakers. I can get the speaker to play stereo by applying a downward force to the end of the aux cable that is plugged into the speaker. When I stop pressing on the aux cable, though, it stops playing stereo.

I have tried to get the back panel off to investigate the problem further, but the speaker resists my attempts to take it apart.
